John Wall will be playing at the University of Kentucky’s Rupp Arena again, but this time it’ll be with the Wizards in an Oct. 19 preseason game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The game, according to Rupp officials, will feature two premier players who starred for the Wildcats.
Wall, a dynamic point guard on the verge of signing an $80 million extension as early as this week, will be entering his fourth season. He’s coming off the best season of his career with 18.5 points, 7.6 assists and 44.1 percent shooting. He was drafted No. 1 overall in 2010.
Anthony Davis is a second-year forward-center who led the Wildcats to the 2012 national championship. Davis averaged 13.5 points and 8.2 rebounds as a rookie for the Pelicans and started 60 games.
The exhibition will take place the day after Big Blue Madness, an event that kick starts Kentucky’s college basketball season.
