DC United has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with midfielder Marcos Sanchez who will join the team on loan from Tauro FC. The 23 year old Sanchez, originally from Panama, impressed in a pre-season trial with the club.
“Marcos is highly technical player who can play a number of different spots in the midfield,” said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper in a team press release.
“He has had a great two months of performances in both the UNCAF and World Cup qualifying with Panama, and he sealed a roster spot with his time during pre-season.”
Sanchez is a member of Panama's National Team and has two career goals in 18 appearances for the country. He has played in 66 games for Tauro FC since 2010 with four career goals.
