D.C. United forward Dwayne De Rosario has been suspended for two games as well as fined for violent conduct towards Philadelphia Union midfielder and former teammate Danny Cruz. The inncident occurred during the 60th minute of a preseason match on February 23.

This means the 2011 MLS MVP will miss the two opening games of the season. The first is this Saturday March 2 when United travels to Houston with the second being the club's home opener on March 9 against Real Salt Lake.
