United midfielder fractures forearm

D.C. United midfielder Chris Rolfe will miss the next four-to-six weeks with a fractured forearm. Orthopedic specialist Dr. Ken Fine and hand and wrist specialist Dr. Sunjay Berdia performed the surgery on his left radial head and ulna at George Washington University Hospital on Wednesday night.

The midfielder sustained the injury during a practice on Wednesday, September 3.

Acquired from Chicago Fire in exchange for allocation money on April 2, Rolfe has appeared in 21 games (20 starts) for United and has recorded six goals and six assists. In eight MLS seasons, he has appeared in 199 games (169 starts) and has recorded 54 goals and 28 assists.
