The Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) is holding registrations for events on the weekend of Oct. 25th through the 27th.

A catered brunch, pep rally, and 5k run, are all part of the weekend leading up to the 38th MCM in Arlington, VA.

The FIrst Timers Pep Rally starts the festivities on Friday Oct. 25th.  The rally will include a video welcome from Comcast SportsNet, a panel of running experts, including Olympian and trainer Jeff Galloway, as well as music, games, food, and giveaways such as the commemorative first timers pin.

The Pep Rally costs $5 per runner and $10 per guest.

Saturday kicks off with the MCM Runners bRUNch 5k at 9 a.m.  The run starts near the Smithsonian Metro and finishes at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Rosslyn.

After runners finish, Chief Running Officer of "Runners World" magazine, Bart Yasso, will speak with the participants about his running adventures - having participated in more than 1,000 competitive races, over 350 marathons, and has run on every continent.

"The MCM Runners bRUNch is a great opportunity for runners to exercise and mingle and to obtain sage advice and good running tips from Bart," says Rick Nealis MCM Director.

Registration for the Runners bRUNch costs $35 and includes a specially designed bRUNch bib, a commemorative coin, and a catered meal under the MCM VIP tent.  The Runners bRUNch is open to everyone.

Finally, on Sunday, the third largest marathon in the United States - voted "Best Marathon in the Mid Atlantic" and "Best Marathon for Charities" - the MCM, also known as "The People's Marathon," closes out the weekend.
