Thousands of runners and visitors from across the country will participate in the Marine Corps Historic Half Weekend of events Sunday, May 18 in Fredericksburg, VA. Events include the Marine Corps Historic Half (13.1 miles), the Historic 10K (6.2 miles) and the Semper Fred 5K (3.1 miles).

The fun is not limited to the race, with activities starting Friday May 16 at the Healthy Lifestyle Expo. For more information, go to marinemarathon.com.

The Healthy Lifestyle Expo will feature U.S. Olympian Lauryn Williams. Williams is the first American woman to win medals at both the Summer and Winter olympics.

U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA) will join Williams during the Marine Corps Historic Half opening ceremonies on May 18, to signal the start of wheelchair and hand cyclists, one minute prior to the Historic Half official start.

CSNWashington.com will be on site recording runners as they pass the finish line. CLICK HERE after the race to see you and your friends finish the race.
