Terps fans think that Stefon Diggs will make big strides this season -- and the media covering the ACC seems to agree.
Diggs added another another feather to his preseason-hype cap, as he was voted by the media to the Preseason All-ACC squad as a return specialist.
An honorable mention All-ACC returner as a true freshman last season, Diggs was second in the league in kick return average, with 28.5 yards per return, and was fifth in running back punts, with an average return of 10 yards.
He also scored twice on kick returns, against Virginia and North Carolina.
Maryland's only honoree, the rising sophomore garnered 34 votes, easily beating out Miami's Duke Johnson (9) for the preseason honor.
Diggs also received 19 votes at wide receiver, losing out on the second preseason All-ACC wide receiver spot to Clarksville, Md. native Michael Campanaro of Wake Forest by a single vote.
In addition to the preseason All-ACC honor, Diggs has been named to the watch list for the Fred Biletnikoff (Best Receiver), Maxwell (Player of the Year) and Paul Hornung (Most Versatile) Awards.
Voting for the Preseason All-ACC team was conducted by the 65 media members in attendance at the ACC Football Kickoff in Greensboro, N.C.
