According to the University of Maryland athletics department, Terrell Stoglin and Mychal Parker have been suspended from the men's basketball team for one year for a UMD Student-Athlete Code of Conduct violation.

Neither will be sticking around to see their suspension carried out.

Stoglin, sophomore, entered his name into the 2012 NBA draft on April 29, which was the final day to declare yourself eligible. The draft is set for June 28.

And Parker, sophomore, has already planned to transfer out of Maryland.

Being a University of Maryland student-athlete carries a tremendous honor and responsibility, Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson said. As much as we appreciate the effort these two young men gave to the program this season, they were unable to live up to that responsibility. Were disappointed, but hope they use this as a learning experience.

This past season Terrell Stoglin lead the ACC with an average of 21.6 points per game.

Mychal Parker played in every game for Maryland and averaged 4.3 points and 3 rebounds in 32 games.
