New York looked to be cruising to an easy win before a 15-point third quarter lead evaporated and the Liberty had to scramble to hold off Washington 80-76 in overtime in Tuesday night.


Ivory Latta scored 21 points and Kara Lawson added 14 as the surging Mystics moved into second place in the Eastern Conference with a 77-67 win over the Atlanta Dream on Sunday.


Despite missing their first 12 field-goal attempts in the fourth, the Mystics held on to beat the Shock 82-77.


Stefanie Dolson is off to a good start with the Mystics in her rookie season, but no one will forget her well-publicized fall at the White House earlier this year.
