Bennett: UVa crowd was loud as Taylor Swift concert
With their 75-56 win Saturday over Syracuse, Virginia won its first outright ACC championship in 33 years. The atmosphere at John Paul Jones Arena was electric and the team clearly fed off the crowd on its way to victory.
How loud was the crowd? Head coach Tony Bennett said it best.
"The last time I heard it that loud I was at the Taylor Swift Concert," he said. That may sound odd, but for anyone with a teenage daughter you know just what Syracuse was up against.
They're lucky they only lost by 19!
"I sat there," Bennett continued, "and there's, you know, 14,000 teenage girls screaming and i remember sitting there like, I wonder if we can get it like this for a game."
Thanks to his team's effort and the crowd's intensity, this will be a night Bennett never ever ever forgets.
