A bad line change had Capitals coach Barry Trotz in a foul mood on Sunday. And now somebody owes somebody else dinner.
Montreal is climbing up the standings and making a push for the Atlantic Division.
The Capitals fell to the Blues on Sunday afternoon for their second straight loss and sixth defeat in their last seven games.
