The little optimism that the Wizards had after a win for new coach Randy Wittman over Charlotte was quickly dashed with another dud on the road, a 103-76 loss at Houston Friday night.

The Wizards only trailed 44-41 at halftime but fell apart in the second half, getting outscored 46-21 in the final 18 minutes. The Wizards are the only NBA team without a road win at 0-8, and 3-16 overall.

The Wizards committed a team-high 24 turnovers that led to 41 Rockets' points.

"I think we got tired and lost our concentration," Wittman said.

Wizards' guard John Wall scored 17 points, with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, but had 5 turnovers. Nick Young was the only other player in double-figures for the Wizards with 15 points.

Wizards' rookie forward Jan Vesely got his first NBA start, scoring 5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and had 3 steals in 29 minutes of play.

Wittman decided to start Vesely over veteran Andray Blatche at power forward. Blatche struggled off the pine with just 2 points in 14 minutes of action.

The Wizards have a great shot at getting their first road win at 3-17 Charlotte tonight.
