ATLANTA (AP) -- Sophomore Kammeon Holsey recorded his first double-double of his career with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Georgia Tech used stifling defense in the second half to beat Maryland 63-61 on Saturday. The win was just the second in the past 13 games for the Yellow Jackets (10-18, 3-11 Atlantic Coast Conference), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Offensively, Georgia Tech had a balance performance with six players who scored at least seven points. The Terrapins (16-8, 6-8) led 37-31 at halftime, but missed 20 of their first 22 shots after halftime. The Yellow Jackets went on a 22-9 run to lead 53-46 on a pair of Holsey free throws with 7:02 left. Terrell Stoglin, who had 18 points, gave Maryland a 56-55 lead with a layup with 2:02 left, but Tech point guard Mfon Udofia countered moments later with a three-point play to give the Jackets the lead for good.
