Capitals right wing Jay Beagle is expected to skate with his teammates Tuesday morning for the first time since getting knocked out in an Oct. 13 fight with Pittsburgh's Arron Asham.
"He's feeling really good about it," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "The whole concussion thing, with the protocol -- it's not his first time, either -- so it's taking a little more time."
Boudreau said Beagle skated twice over the weekend and underwent a strenuous off-ice workout with strength and conditioning coach Mark Nemish on Monday.
"Talking to him, he feels great and can't wait to get back out," Boudreau said of Beagle.
