Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau was asked after Tuesday nights 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars if his players might have grown a little too comfortable after a club-record seven-game win streak to start the season.

If theres a comfort thing, he promised, the comfort will change tomorrow.

Tomorrow is today, and lets all just be happy we dont play for the Capitals.

Boudreau interspersed one-on-one battle drills with several we lost count, actually suicide drills that had players, including Alex Ovechkin, hunched over on all fours.

Boudreau has the luxury of two days between games, but this was no conditioning skate.

Players could barely make it through the final skate.

The question is, do bag skates work? Does punishment for poor play serve as motivation? Well address that with the players as they come off the ice, providing they have enough air in their lungs to speak.
