Capitals defenseman Mike Green arrived at Kettler Capitals Iceplex today with a distinct limp and missed his seventh straight practice with a right ankle injury.

Green has not played since Oct. 22 when he rolled his ankle just before getting hit in the chin with a puck. The Capitals are hoping hell be available for Friday nights game in Carolina.

A club spokesperson said Green would not be available to talk about his injury until he participates in his first practice.

Meanwhile, all it took was two losses for the old Bruce Boudreau to return.

After committing to four forward lines in his first eight games of the season, Boudreau shook up his line combinations in Saturday nights 7-4 loss in Vancouver and continued that trend at todays practice, demoting Mike Knuble to the fourth line and replacing him with Jason Chimera.

Boudreau also ripped apart one third of his checking line by replacing Chimera with Matt Hendricks with center Brooks Laich and left wing Joel Ward.

That gives you these line combinations heading into Tuesday nights home game against the Anaheim Ducks:

Alex Ovechkin-Nicklas Backstrom-Troy Brouwer
Alex Semin-Marcus Johansson-Jason Chimera
Joel Ward -Brooks Laich-Matt Hendricks
Jeff Halpern-Mathieu Perreault-Mike Knuble
