The Capitals have some rosterdecisions to make before they hit the road for three games in Nashville,Winnipeg and Toronto. With defensemen John Erskine,Roman Hamrlik and Mike Green all day-to-day with undisclosed injuries, the Capitals likelywill need to call up a defenseman from the Hershey Bears before they begintheir road trip Tuesday night in Nashville. That wont be an easy taskconsidering the Caps problems with the salary cap. They are currently at itslimit and would likely need to send a forward back to Hershey, make a trade orplace Jay Beagle (concussion) on long-term injury to make room for someone suchas rookie defensive prospect Dmitry Orlov. You can be sure the Capitalswill not try to repeat what happened Saturday night when forward Brooks Laichplayed the entire game on defense in place of Erskine, and Dennis Widemanlogged a season-high 33:52 in their 3-2 shootout loss.
