By Ivan CarterCSNwashington.com contributorI wanted to feel good about that performance by the Wizards last night in the preseason opener at Dallas. John Wall looked great, Andray Blatche showed no issueson that foot he broke, Kirk Hinrich was knocking down shots like John Paxson and Lester Hudson drained that game winner.....and then Gilbert Arenas had to pull a Gilbert. In his postgame comments to the Post's Michael Lee, Gilbert showed the first signs that he may not be all good with the John Wall love-fest (believe me, as someone who covered for Gilbert for four seasons, he's not). Check it: - Now, you can call me an alarmist if you want. Ted Leonsis might write a blog saying I'm being negative but trust me hoop fans, this could (could)be a big, big problem for this Wizards team. If you think Gilbert is going to be "moving aside so he can become a star" I have some confederate money I'd like to sell you. I ain't buying it. Keep an eye on it is all I'm saying.-Another thing that stood out to me last night was the play of Yi Jianlian. The guy has filled out physically and really has a nice touch from the outside. I've always liked his shooting form and overall offensive skill set. To think that the Wiz got him for next to nothing from New Jersey is simply stunning. He could turn out to be a steal..-That three guard lineup with Wall, Arenas and Hinrich plus Blatche and McGee up front could be a nasty one for opponents to handle. Arenas and Hinrich can bury shots plus with the floor spread, all three can take their man off he dribble AND BlatcheMcGee is a lot of length upfront. Could be a problem defensively though if teams post up a 3-man....-The Vikings getting Randy Moss for a 3rd round pick was a no-brainer. Once you pay a 40-plus year old QB 20 million, you're all in. Might as well double down. And a 3rd for a future hall of famer who is playing for a new contract? Had to do it. Prediction: the Monday night game at the Jets could be the highest rated MNF ever. Moss. Favre. Jets. Something tells me Revis just tweaked that hammy again and won't be able to go.....-Also, if Moss gets only a 3rd, what in the world could the Skins possibly get for Devin Thomas? Better off keeping him as a kick returner in my opinion.....-Great column as usual by Boswell Wednesday morning in the Post. Check it:-We'll be all over both of these stories plus those Skins on Wednesday's show. Also, Smokin' Al Koken will be in the house talkin' Caps. Really looking forward to the season opener Friday night.
