MOBILE, Ala. A quick review of Day One of Senior Bowl activities leading into Saturdays 3 p.m. kickoff.

Because of the schedule, the North and South teams did not practice at the same facility both teams had 1-hour, 45-minute workouts, the North in town at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the South about 35 minutes away in Fairhope. A report from the South practice.

WHO LOOKED GOOD

North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples. Not only does he look the part (nearly 6-foot-6 and 281 pounds), on consecutive reps against UAB offensive tackle Matt McCants, he won handily, the first with a quick inside move and the second time with an outside-inside move.

South Carolina defensive end Melvin Ingram. Wearing a Redskins football helmet, he steamed around the edge several times in one-on-one passing drills, including once on Florida State tackle Zerbie Sanders.
WHO LOOKED NOT SO GOOD

The offense in general and the quarterbacks trying to receive the snap in particular.

A review of one drill Brandon Weeden fumbled snap, guard James Brown false start, short run, aborted snap, Nick Foles fumbled snap, Philip Blake false start. It only got slightly better, but not until after Mike Shanahan called for several reps of just the center snapping to the quarterback. He also got on Foles for not yelling the pre-snap cadence loud enough.

NUMBER OF THE DAY

346

Weight of Georgia offensive lineman Cordy Allen, the most of any player weighed on Monday.

4

Number of offensive linemen who took their hand size test with their left hand because of permanent right pinkie damage.

TUESDAYS SCHEDULE
