According to the guys at Pro Football Focus, DeAngelo Hall is a very good tackler.

Say what?

The guys at the site who track, grade and chart every NFL play put out an article on the best tackling cornerbacks. They broke it down in several different ways and it turns out that Hall was one of the more solid corners in the league when it came to tackling in run support. He attempted 23 tackles on running plays and missed just one.

Of course, this does not take into account plays like the one where Hall was a spectator as two teammates attempted to tackle Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. But it is a good sign for a guy who doesnt have a sterling reputation when it comes to stopping the run.

The numbers were not so good for cornerback Kevin Barnes. He played about 40 percent of the teams snaps and attempted 35 total tackles (against both run and pass plays). He missed nine of those tackle attempts, giving him a tackle efficiency rate of 3.9. That ranked the third-year nickel cornerback 101st and last in the NFL among corners who attempted at least 25 tackles.
