Last summer several Capitals veterans asked coach Bruce Boudreau to hold them more accountable every last one of them when the 2011-12 season opened.
They are certainly getting what they asked for.
Two nights after Alex Semin was made a healthy scratch because of his undisciplined play, Joel Ward was told to watch tonights game against the Winnipeg Jets in street clothes for oversleeping Tuesday and showing up late for a team meeting.
Heres the interesting part.
Boudreau says this is the first time he has benched a player for arriving late for a meeting, In the past, he has fined players, but has not sat them out of games.
Do you like the more aggressive approach Boudreau is taking with his players this season?
Do you think it will pay dividends in the playoffs?
Or is Boudreau being too heavy handed with his players?
What are your thoughts on Boudreaus hard-edged approach?
