Tuesday, October 5, 2010By Ivan CarterCSNwashington.com contributorMike Wise advocated a Donovan McNabb contract extension in today's Post and that is clearly one of the main issues hovering over the Redskins franchise right now. Thing is, it's early in the season still and we may not even have football next season. Also, we don't even know what McNabb is looking for in terms of value and length.Anyway, we'll discuss the McNabb extension issue and the Redskins in today's show (live at 5, replay at 12:30) with former GM Charley Casserly and John Feinstein of the Post. Also, former Virginia hoops star Junior Burrough will be in the house talking Wizards. The new-look Wiz open the preseason tonight at Dallas (the game is on CSN). And you know Feinstein will have a take on the Ryder Cup loss by the United States. That hurt. A couple quick notes:-Clinton Portis said he doesn't expect to play against Green Bay Sunday. Hearing the way he described his groin injury made me grimmace because it sounds exactly like a bad groin pull I had back in the day playing college ball. It's way upnear the, uh, private area and is very difficult to stretch. Running on it without pulling it again is almost impossible. If that's the case, it could be a couple of weeks at least....-This didn't take long. That was one of the craziest games I've seen in awhile last night. The Pats seem to find a way to win....Zero catches for Randy Moss. Nice work Vontae Davis, the local product.-As for the Redskins, that loss to the Rams suddenly look so bad. Sam Bradford is legit and the Rams are 2-2. Some team has to win that division right?
