First DownLets get the Week 9 ball rolling with this hypothetical: Why didnt Redskins owner Dan Snyder make an effort to hire then Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh after deciding early in the 2009 season that Jim Zorn wasnt the answer? All evidence pointed toward The Danny having a crush on Mike Shanahan and he got his man, 9-14 in his tenure with the Redskins.Im torn on what The Danny should have done. Im of the opinion he should have promoted Gregg Williams in January 2008 to the top spot and Zorn would have made a fine offensive coordinator. That said, fast-forward to January 2010. The Danny had gone the College Route with Steve Spurrier and that didnt work. He chased Shanahan and landed him.Harbaugh, with Alex Smith as his quarterback, is 6-1; the Redskins are in last place (again).Second DownThe 49ers last visit to Washington remains in Media Room History as bizarre to say the least. Six days before the game, Joe Gibbs was asked if he knew Mike Nolan (then the 49ers head coach, former Redskins defensive coordinator).Joe turned that question into a defense of how the Redskins wont take the 49ers lightly. They didnt. The Redskins won 52-17 and Smith was 8-of-16 passing for 92 yards and was sacked five times.Among the Redskins top performers on that day: Portis, Betts, Brunell, Moss, Arrington, Marshall, Washington and Springs.Third DownI cant wait to hear what Carlos Rogers has to say Wednesday afternoon about his time with the Redskins.Carlos is one of my personal favorites, always available and always honest. And a dang good player.Rogers departed post-lockout to the 49ers.The scenarios that followed: Did Rogers want to return to the Redskins? (I guess no). Did the Redskins want Rogers back? (Ditto). Did the Redskins think Josh Wilson was that much of an upgrade? (Yes, but wrong).Fourth Down

This week, well see what kind of leadership the Redskins have in the locker room. The team isnt fracturing by any means but with so many new faces over the last few years, whos going to take the lead?On offense, its a guess so well go with quarterback John Beck.On defense, its obviously London Fletcher, DeAngelo Hall and Barry Cofield.
