Roger Goodell pulls down a pretty nice salary already. The NFL commissioner makes about 10 million per year. But that is due to change. According to Daniel Kaplan of Sports Business Journal Goodells salary will just about double by the time his contract ends in 2019.Now, 20 million a year is a lot of money. But consider that under the leadership of Goodell, who has been the league commissioner since 2006, the NFL has reached heights of popularity and prosperity never seen in any sports league. That popularity has led to TV contracts that will pay the league 3 billion per year starting in 2014. That means that Goodells salary will be about seven tenths of one percent of the leagues TV revenue alone. What do you think? Does Goodells performance on the job warrant such a salary?
