Gilbert Arenas will come off the bench Thursday night when the Wizards host the Milwaukee Bucks in a pre-season game at Verizon Center. Coach Flip Saunders confirmed that Arenas will play but wouldn't say if he would start. Arenas told our own Chris Miller that he would come off the bench. It will be the first time in 10 months that Arenas has played in front of the home crowd after serving that 50 game suspension for bringing guns into the locker room.

This comes a day after Arenas confessed to coach Flip Saunders that he lied about a "knee injury" that held Arenas out of the Atlanta game. Arenas' rationalization was to fake the injury so his teammate Nick Young could play. Arenas was fined but not suspended by the team and Arenas told me yesterday he would play tonight.

Instead of Arenas, Nick Young will get the start again. He scored 24 points in the victory over the Hawks on Tuesday night.
