The Capitals hit the ice for practice Monday with a full contingent of players, except for defenseman Mike Green, who has missed three straight days of skating.

Greens absence raises more concerns over the long-term health of the 26-year-old defenseman, who has been sidelined since Nov. 11 with a groin strain and has played in just eight of the teams 28 games.

Jay Beagle (concussion) and Matt Hendricks (knee sprain) both practiced with the Caps, who will take on the visiting Flyers Tuesday night at the Verizon Center.

The Flyers, meanwhile, practiced without leading scorer Claude Giroux, who was kneed in the head by teammate Wayne Simmonds and is unlikely to play Tuesday night.

The Caps offense has had a resurgence lately, thanks to a power play that went 4-for-6 in Friday nights 4-2 win over Toronto.

The Caps rank sixth in the NHL in goals per game (3.11) and their power play jumped from a 15.2 percent efficiency (22nd in the league) to 18.1 percent (11th in the NHL).
