This afternoon the Mystics locked up their most important free agent by re-signing All-Star forward Crystal Langhorne. Terms of the contract were not released.
We are absolutely thrilled to have Crystal continue her career with us," stated Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey. "She has worked very hard and is poised to help bring a WNBA Championship to our organization; with her leadership we look forward to a very bright future."
Last season Langhorne led the Mystics with 18.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. She was also named to the WNBA All-Star team and finished the season ranked in the top five in the league in points per game (4th), rebounds (6th) and field goal percentage (3rd).
"I am excited to continue my career with the Mystics and to play in front of the best fans in the WNBA," stated Langhorne. "I will continue to work my hardest to help bring a championship to D.C."
The Mystics have also added forward Kerri Gardin and post players Laura Harper and Ashley Walker to the teams roster in the past week.
