According to Eric Prisbell of the Washington Post, the University of Maryland is looking to bring back former running backs coach Mike Locksley.
Locksley is a native of the area and a former recruiting coordinator. His return would seemingly help the Terps with recruiting after an abysmal 2-10 finish this season.
On September 25, Locksley was fired from New Mexico State as head coach after a 2-26 record. He will likely replace Gary Crowton who is leaving Maryland after one year as offensive coordinator under Randy Edsall.
The former Towson defensive back was an assistant at the University for six seasons under Ron Vanderlinden and Ralph Friedgen.
