Ten games into his NFL career, Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan still has not missed his first NFL snap.
Kerrigan, the Redskins first-round pick last spring, is 647 for 647 entering Sundays match-up against Seattle.
Kerrigan is the only player on defense to play every snap. On offense, Will Montgomery and Chris Chester are the only two players who havent left the field.
Tapping his cap in the locker room earlier this week, Kerrigan said: When I got drafted here, Coach Lou Spanos said theres none of this when Im tired. He said, You got to go. Thats the mindset I take into each game.
Kerrigan leads the Redskins with six sacks and 21 quarterback pressures and is sixth with 49 tackles and has showed no sign of fatigue.
Everyone has aches and pains by now, but as far as the rookie wall, I think its a little bit mental because the season is such a grind compared to college, he said. This is the last week of college football and weve still got five more games. Thats when Ill really see what Im made of.
