The Redskins face an unfamiliar foe in summer-like weather conditions today in Miami. The Dolphins are four-point favorites despite the fact that they are 1-7 while the Redskins are 3-5. But that Oct. 2 win over the Rams seems like it was a long time ago. Can the Redskins get their first win since before the leaves started to change color? The CSN Washington Redskins team makes the pick:Ryan OHalloran (5-3)The Redskins have showed no reason to think they cant reach the end zone in non-garbage time situations the last two weeks and that wont change Sunday in south Florida. Jammal Brown wasnt exactly playing at a high level as the starting right tackle but look for the Dolphins to play soft coverage (like San Francisco) and use a four-man rush to send the Redskins spiraling to a fifth consecutive loss.Dolphins 20, Redskins 7Jennifer X. Williams (5-3)John Beck is 0-7 as a starter in the NFL. His first 4 starts (and losses) came when he was with the Dolphins the team that took his with the 40th overall pick in 2007. Hypothetically speaking, if Beck were to ever get a 'W' in this league, grabbing the first one versus Miami would be laced with the sweetest taste of redemption.Beck will never get a sip of victory, if the offense doesn't produce a break out game. You know, like the one the Dolphins just had over the Chiefs putting up 31 points on the board. Matt Moore completed 17 of 23 attempts for 244 yards ands 3 touchdowns. Beck would truly earn the nickname the Stormin' Mormon after a performance like that.If they could even just string together a few big plays early it could give the Skins offense the confidence they need to light up the 305. When I say light up, I mean a spark, don't expect a high scoring (or exhilarating) match-up between these two teams.Redskins 14, Dolphins 7Rich Tandler (6-2)Although neither team has had too much success in the W column, these are two pretty good defenses and theyre both facing mediocre offenses. This says to me that the game will be decided by a break, a key turnover, a referees flag at just the right (or wrong) time. The Redskins are due for a break and theyll take advantage to eke out a win.Redskins 17, Dolphins 13
