The Redskins announced that they have re-signed defensive end Darrion Scott. The 30-year-old Ohio State product was slated to be an unrestricted free agent next month.
Scott appeared in seven games last year making 11 tackles. He was released during the season but he was only on the street for a week as he was brought back to replace the injured Kedric Golston. It is expected that he will compete with Kentwan Balmer and Doug Worthington for a backup roster spot.
The team also officially announced that offensive lineman Will Montgomery also has re-signed with the team. Montgomerys return was reported in the media this weekend.
