Tashard Choices legacy with the Redskins will remain, A lot of talking, not a lot of playing.

The Redskins released the running back Tuesday after he played in just one game since being claimed off waivers from Dallas.

Choice missed two games with a hamstring injury and carried six times for seven yards.

To take his roster spot, the Redskins promoted rookie running back Evan Royster from the practice squad. They also re-signed running back Tristan Davis to the practice squad.

Royster was a sixth-round pick last spring by the Redskins and has been on the practice squad since being cut at the end of the preseason.

Davis was originally signed to the practice squad on Oct. 25 and released on Nov. 8.
