Nose tackle Chris Baker, who was just signed from the practice squad, missed practice for a second straight day with a quad injury. Joining him on the sideline was safety LaRon Landry (groin).Although Landry also is missing practice for the second straight day after sitting out last Sundays game against the Jets, Mike Shanahan would not rule him out for this weeks game against New England. The most encouraging news on the injury front was that punter Sav Rocca was able to practice on a limited basis. He suffered an injured ankle during the Jets game and he could not practice. The Redskins brought in punter Ricky Schmitt for a tryout and the fact that he left without a contract was a good sign. Also limited were Terrence Austin (hamstring), DeJon Gomes (knee), London Fletcher (ankle), Maurice Hurt (knee), Stephen Bowen (knee), and DeAngelo Hall (back).
