The Redskins recent playoff history against Seattle has been and will be documented a second-round loss in January 2006 and a first-round defeat two years later, but entering Sundays game, the Redskins have won five straight regular season meetings.

As the Redskins re-convene Wednesday to began preparing to break their six-game losing streak, a review of those five wins:
2008: Redskins 20 at Seahawks 17. Washington was a 3-point favorite but ready to hit a tail-spin. Not before, though, it won in Jim Zorns return to Seattle, where he was a quarterback and long-time assistant coach. Shaun Suisham kicked a 22-yard field goal with 9:19 remaining. Clinton Portis rushed 29 times for 143 yards and the Redskins got interceptions from LaRon Landry and Shawn Springs.

2005: Redskins 20 vs. Seahawks 17 (OT). The Redskins, two weeks after the Monday Night Miracle in Dallas and three weeks after Joe Gibbs gave up on Patrick Ramsey after two quarters against Chicago in favor of Mark The 8 Car Brunell, won on Nick Novaks 39-yard field goal with 9:29 left in overtime. The Redskins blew a 14-3 lead. Santana Moss caught six passes for 87 yards. The Redskins held a 13:11-1:49 time of possession advantage in the first quarter. The offense was 13-of-18 on third down.

2003: Redskins 27 vs. Seahawks 20. A three-point underdog, the Ol Ball Coach chose an interesting way to win with 1:57 remaining Rod Gardner throwing 10 yards to Trung Canidate.

2002: Redskins 14 at Seahawks 3. A two-point road favorite, Bruce Smith had two sacks and Fred Smoot an interception. Darnerien McCants and Gardner caught touchdown passes from Shane Matthews. The Redskins were outgained 324-259.

2001: Redskins 24 vs. Seahawks 14. The Redskins had four sacks, Stephen Davis rushed 32 times for 142 yards and six players led the offense with two catches apiece.

Overall, the Redskins have a 10-4 regular season series lead.
