At least in Brandon Banks opinion, it means something that the Redskins trounced the eventual Super Bowl champion Giants twice during the regular season.Of course, it doesnt represent anything more than the actual result. But over the last 10 years, the Redskins have played either conference champion plenty during the regular season. A look:2011Redskins 28, Giants 14 (Ryan Kerrigans interception-turned-touchdown was key play.)Patriots 34, Redskins 27 (Washington allowed a season-high 351 yards.)Redskins 23, Giants 10 (Another Eli disaster at home vs. Redskins three interceptions.)2010Redskins 16, Packers 13 (OT) (Green Bay lost some folks during game and blew a 13-3 lead.)2009Saints 33, Redskins 30 (OT) (Shaun Suisham flubbed a field goal attempt and was whacked a few days later.)2008Redskins 24, Cardinals 17 (Old friend Todd Yoder caught a touchdown pass in this game.)2007Giants 24, Redskins 17 (Redskins couldnt score from the 1-yard line on three shots in final minute. Saved New Yorks season it would have been 0-3.)Patriots 52, Redskins 7 (New England could have won 102-7 if it had wanted to.)Redskins 22, Giants 10 (Frigid Sunday night in the Swamp; Todd Collins first start as a Redskin; Eli went 18-of-53 passing.)2006Didnt play Indianapolis or Chicago (But the Redskins would have crunched Rex and the Bears, right?)2005Redskins 20, Seahawks 17 (OT) (Capped a 3-0 start to year, including Miracle In Dallas. The Redskins were 13-of-18 on third down and still needed overtime.)2004Eagles 28, Redskins 6 (Largest margin of defeat in the first year of Joe Gibbs Version 2.0.)Eagles 17, Redskins 14 (Both teams had exactly 312 yards offense.)2003Redskins 20, Patriots 17 (New England didnt lose again all season.)Panthers 20, Redskins 17 (Old friend Stephen Davis rushed for 92 yards.)2002Didnt play Tampa Bay or Oakland.
