Are the Nationals interested in Ryan Madson?

Madson, the Phillies closer, becomes a free agent this offseason, and SI.com's Jon Heyman is reporting Washington as a possible landing spot:

"The Nationals are a candidate for Madson if he leaves the Phillies; ex-Phillies teammate Jayson Werth is trying to sell Madson on the Nats."

The Nats' current closer, Drew Storen, is coming off a season in which he recorded 43 saves, with a 2.75 ERA, yielding 57 hits in 75 13 innings. Madson had 32 saves, a 2.37 ERA and gave up 54 hits in 60 23 innings. Storen, 24, is seven years younger than Madson.

Given what we've seen in the postseason, though, it seems you can never have enough relief pitching.
