The process to end Joe Paternos career at Penn State reportedly is underway.

According to The New York Times, citing two people briefed on conversations among the universitys top officials, Paternos tenure as head coach will end within days or weeks.

The two sources revealed that discussions have begun as to how to proceed with his removal in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child abuse scandal that has rocked State College.
