INDIANAPOLIS -- Robert Griffin III had the NFL media gathered at the NFL Combine eating out of the palm of his hand as he took questions about everything from his college career to his Superman socks.

When asked about which quarterbacks he patterned his game after, Griffin inadvertently hinted that he might be a good fit in Mike Shanahans offense.

Randall Cunningham, Steve Young, guys that people dont really think Ive seen play like Ken Stabler, quarterbacks that extend that play, said Griffin when asked who his favorites were. John Elway is another guy who could extend the play.

Elway won two Super Bowls with Shanahan as the head coach in Denver. And Young, like Elway a member of the Hall of Fame, won his only Super Bowl with the 49ers when Shanahan was the offensive coordinator there.

They win from within the pocket, but they also know how to win outside the pocket, Griffin said of his quarterbacking role models. And I think thats what the game is turning in to.
