There are reports (or are they rumors . . you never can tell at a time like this) that the Miami Dolphins are attempting to acquire a second-round pick for this year. They had traded away their own second-rounder for receiver Brandon Marshall.
There really is only one way to get a second-round pick and that is to give up your first for next year. Would the Redskins have a for sale sign on their second-rounder if they can acquire a 2012 first?
I think that Mike Shanahan would think about it real hard. While they certainly need help this year, the Redskins wont be a serious playoff threat in 2011. Adding two first-round talents a year from now could be a very tempting thought for the Redskins.
