CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Mike Scott scored 20 points, nine rebounds and four assists as Virginia cruised to an 86-53 win over Longwood on Saturday. Sammy Zeglinski had 14 points and seven assists for Virginia (7-1). Longwood (3-6) played its second game in as many days. On Friday night, the Lancers defeated S.C. State. The Cavaliers, who host George Mason Tuesday night, held their eighth straight opponent under 60 points. Virginia shot 52 percent (29 of 56) from the floor and held Longwood to 38 percent (20 of 53). The Cavaliers never trailed in the game and claimed a 19-point halftime lead. A Joe Harris dunk ignited a 10-3 run that was capped by a Malcom Brogdon layup to give Virginia a 65-40 lead. Antwan Carter led Longwood with 17 points.
