O.k., I am a sucker for new threads but really for the first time we get to see the new red, white and blues in action. Posing for pictures is one thing, but posterizing in them is going to be great to see.
2) John Wall.
Even at 65 percent healthy as Wall claimed he was last season, he was still one of the fastest and most electric players in the league. Now at 100 percent, is there another gear we haven't seen from the Wizards' point guard? We get our first look tonight. This could be the start of something very good for the Wizards.
3) The Rookies.
How will Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton and Shelvin Mack handle their first game under the bright lights of the NBA? They all have gotten solid reviews from coaches and teammates in training camp, but what would you expect them to say? That the newcomers have been terrible? Of course not. Now, with their first NBA pre-season game, we get to gauge where their games really are at.
4) Nick who?
Will Jordan Crawford make folks forget about Nick Young, who is looking for a bigger payday? Crawford will start at the shooting guard spot and he doesn't want to relinquish it, even if Young comes back.
There is practice shape and then there is game shape and we will find out about the team's fitness against the Sixers. With just ten days before the regular season opener, the Wizards better be in shape now -- or if they aren't, they still have time to be ready for opening night December 26 versus New Jersey.
