Where's the Capital offense?

Sudden thoughts and second thoughts as the Capitals spend acomplete day off pondering Saturday nights 2-1 loss in Colorado:--New coach Dale Hunter has corrected several defensiveflaws since taking over for Bruce Boudreau on Nov. 28, but wheres the offense? The Caps have surrendered just 23 goals in nine games under Hunter, but havescored just 21. And dont expect things to change Tuesday night when BarryTrotz and the Nashville Predators come in with their own trapping style ofplay.--Is it me, or does it look like the Capitals lookstructured when the line of Brooks Laich, Jason Chimera and Joel Ward are onthe ice, and are free-lancing when Alex Ovechkin, Alex Semin and NicklasBackstrom are out there?
--Is Matt Hendricks OK? After his first-period fight with CodyMcLeod, Hendricks took just two shifts in the second period and none in thethird. When he did a television interview between the second and third periodsHendricks looked groggy. McLeod, a former teammate and good friend ofHendricks, won the fight and caught Hendricks with a few punches. --Its possible Hendricks is feeling the effects of the sameillness that claimed center Mathieu Perreault after the first period in Denver. Perreault tookjust five shifts in the first period before leaving the game due to illness. Thatleft Hunter with 11 available forwards, which may be another reason for Hendricksand Mike Knuble not seeing much ice time. Knuble saw just two shifts in thethird period.
