After yanking Tomas Vokoun after he allowed three first-period goals against the Canucks, Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau has a big decision to make before Tuesday night's home game against the Ducks.
Does he start Vokoun for a ninth consecutive game? Or, does he turn to Michal Neuvirth, who allowed four goals three of them in the third period in Saturday night's 7-4 loss in Vancouver?
Personally, I was a bit surprised Neuvirth did not start Saturday night's game. although I understand Boudreau's reasoning that he had only participated in two full practices.
But there is something worth mentioning here: Vokoun is 35 years old and has never been a part of a long playoff run. Giving him occasional rests in October and November can only benefit him come May and June.
So, if you're Bruce Boudreau, whom do you start Tuesday night?
