Buried in one of the same old stories bashing the entire Redskins organization for the misdeeds of Fred Davis and Trent Williams, Post columnist Mike Wise brings up a question that will start to get some close scrutiny when the offseason begins next month:. . . You know whats the overlooked story of the Redskins offseason? WhetherLondon Fletcherwill return in 2012. If you were 36 and led the NFL in total tackles and showed no signs of slippage, would you return to this? . . . Personally, if I knew I had maybe a two- to three-year window at tops to win another Super Bowl, I would thank the organization and run like hell to see if I could play among grown-ups.Regardless of the Davis and Williams suspensions, will Fletcher want to come back to the Redskins? Even if they can find their quarterback of the future this yearand doing that takes both a lot of skill and a lot of luckthey are still at least half a dozen more players and a few years away from being consistent winners.Fletcher has had a history of moving on when his contract expires. He left his first team, the Rams, as soon as he became eligible for free agency. After he finished up his five-year contact with the Bills, he signed with the Redskins for five years. That deal is up after this season. So, given his propensity to change addresses when his contract expires and the current state of his team, will Fletcher decide to play elsewhere in 2012?
