According to Redskins tackle Trent Williams, guard Kory Lichtensteiger was injured on a dirty play by Eagles defensive end Darryl Tapp. The injury happened in the aftermath of an interception thrown by Rex Grossman at the Eagles' 3. A scuffle broke out, and Lichtensteiger was down on the field. The early diagnosis was he has torn knee ligaments and could be out for the season. He Tapp kind of just grabbed him and threw him down, Williams said about the play. The ref looked right at him and he failed to make the call.

It was a dirty play to begin with. It was 30 yards away from the play.Williams reacted to the play and drew a personal foul that got the Eagles out of the shadow of their own goal posts. Ive got to do a better job of controlling my emotions, Williams said.
