Bonjour! With the addition of Ronny Turiaf this weekend the Wizards have added another international player to the mix. However, the former Laker and Knick wont need a year to get accustomed to the NBA grind. Turiaf is a six year vet and was brought in to provide leadership in the locker-room and on the bench.

Turiafs main focus, besides winning, might be helping in the development of second year big man and fellow country man, Kevin Seraphin. So far its paying dividends even before Turaif arrived Sunday. Seraphin appears to be ready to make a giant leap in year two in the NBA.

Kevin spent his time during the lockout playing for Caja Laboral in the Spanish league. After three days of training camp you can already see hes more comfortable in Flip Saunders offense, but more important he has an enforcer like mentality.

Which leads me to Turiaf who is seven years removed from heart surgery. The 28 year old has a basketball spirit thats infectious. He plays with passion that can only help this young team. As Roger Mason told me Saturday, Ronnys my man. Hell come in right away and make an impact. After one day Roger is right.

The Wizards picked up the 4.2 million left on Turiafs contract and will only have to pay 1.2 since the Knicks also transferred 3 million in the deal.

Wizards first preseason game is this Friday at home vs. Philadelphia.
