Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld announced that the team will play two preseason games, a home-and-home with Philadelphia -- on Dec. 16 at Verizon Center and then at the Sixers on Dec. 20.

The Wizards will open training camp Dec. 9 at Verizon Center. That's also the same day that the free agency period begins.

At a Thursday news conference, Grunfeld acknowledged that he is in the process of reaching out to free agents to gauge interest, includingWizards restricted free-agent Nick Young. They can't ink a deal until Dec. 9.

It should be a fast and furious few days in the NBA.
