Comcast SportsNet's Chris Miller is reporting that the Wizards have acquired forward Ronny Turiaf from the New York Knicks in a trade. Other details of the trade are not currently known.

Turiaf played three year for the Lakers from 2005 to 2008. The 6-foot-8 forward then played two years in Golden State before joining the Knicks in 2010.

During the 2011 NBA lockout he signed with ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne in his native France. For his career, Turiaf is averaging 5.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Big fan of the Wiz trading for Ronny Turiaf a veteran big man who can help a bench sorely lacking experience of the front line.
