The social media outburst, which took place around the same time coach Randy Edsall addressed the media during hisweekly press conference, may have been purely coincidental (and perhaps not even an outburst).Of course, some players expressed frustration with the first-year coach's rigid ways several weeks ago.C.J. Brown, one of the few players made available for Tuesday's media session, was asked for his take on Edsall's disciplined approach. "It's all about responsibility. You come in this season and you don't really know what to expect, but you know you come in with boundaries and guidelines," said the junior quarterback, who is set to start his fifth game of the season in Saturday's finale at NC State."You learn what's expected of you, and this is how things are going to be done. You have the discipline factor, and the high expectations coach sets for you. He's set that, it's been made clear, and everyone is going to buy in." What about the restrictions themselves. Is it hard, as some have suggested, being a player in a Randy Edsall system?"I think it's blown out of proportion big time,"said the typically low-key Brown. "When people talk about not having hats orearrings in a building, I think that's common courtesy. If you go into any building, you're going to take off your hat. If you're eating, you're not going to eat with your hat on...I think it's blown out of proportion, at the same time, he set the standards. It's not that hard to follow. If you have a problem with it, you can go talk to him and he'll tell you what to do or why he thinks that."Speaking of Tuesday's media session, after a season of playing the role of button-upped coach, Randy Edsall candidly addressed Maryland's "difficult" season.
