Decent fishing conditions this week, but the Potomac will be a bit crowded! The top FLW pros and the BFL Championship will be sharing the waters. Theres a lot to learn by just watching these anglers! If you want to get out, be advised youll be fishing in a crowd. Tides are great this week for fishing a low tide during the warmest part of the day.

Early in the week, tide a low in late morning, into the early afternoon by the weekend. Water temperatures should remain in the low 70s. NBC Ch. 4 meteorologist "Weather Kim" Martucci says, Thunderstorms will fill the forecast for Monday and Tuesday with showers for Wednesday as temperatures rise to around 80 with overnight lows around 60. Thursday into the weekend will be sunny before showers return on Sunday.

Many fish will be spawning. To target bedding bass on bare banks, locate beds about 4 feet from the mean low water mark and drag split shot and drop shot rigs. Pitching Mizmo tubes and dragging or shaking will work too! A good soaking in Jacks Juice Salty Shad will help! Go with light line, like GAMMA 6 pound test Copoly.

To catch post spawners, move a bit deeper to cover, like wood and grass. Use jerkbaits like Lucky Craft Pointers in bright colors like Clown and slowly walk Lucky Craft Gunfish topwaters.

Its a good time for Manns Baby 1-Minus, chatter and swim jigs like the Manns Stone Jig with a HardNose jerkbait to find roving groups of bass. On cloudy days, go with blackblue combos. For sunny days around clear water, try shad patterns or white.

Follow up with bottom baits like the Mizmo tubes Texas rigged on a 30 Mustad Ultra Point tube hook.
